Now for something completely different - Digital Marketing - Concepts

In my Professional Writing for Artist class we are tackling marketing campaigns for a specific work or for promoting freelance work. The first step of module from that class was to come up with an idea for a social media post that would add a surprise to something familiar.

Through doing some research on social media marketing post for physical books I found some interesting animated and video posts that build the cover through the post or take elements and makes an animation from it.

I decided to try my hand at making a social media type post adding sound and effects that would juxtapose the very solitary analog experience reading horror or thriller while adding to the theme or feel of suspense one would feel reading something from these genres.

I tried another one using stop motion technique while adding sound using three tracks manipulated to give an affect of suspense while doing something that many photographers would never do with the equipment shown. A play on the discussion about David Gatten and leaving one’s comfort zone when working with photography and film processing, documenting the process of making the travel book and all the assets that will be inside. I think this would be a fun way to show display the process with in digital marketing / content creation.

I really enjoyed this and have ideas for other ones, going to try another stop motion with makes up my traveling camera bag and developing studio and developing process.
