The weekend was fleshing out ideas for new art for the first planned artist visit. Started with a few "fuel can" ideas, but later decided that a fuel injector made more sense for the location and other art surrounding it.
I'll spend the latter half of the week fleshing out a style that I would be happy with and within the scope of what the chosen artist is known for doing, but remaining faithful to the original sleeve style.
I spent the latter half of the weekend working on a way to showcase the publishing work I have been doing without breaking NDAs. I came up with a rough template for a small book that would showcase paragraph styles and typography used in the creation of the last 6 or 7 books I have worked on.
This allowed me to showcase and work on a few fun ways to break down a book's interior design into ingredients. Making a nutritional facts style label and possibly making an ingredient style page (like one found in a cookbook) of a visiting city if and when I work on the bigger compilation book.
