(2/6/23) I was contemplating how I wanted to push my idea forward. I tried to make the haikus in a way that the next haiku starts with the last line of the previous one. I wanted to give them some kind of visual but I wasn't sure if I wanted them to be more illustrative or shape/text oriented.

If I go in the direction of making a book filled with poetry (haikus and more), the vibe I was going for was more simplistic and having a sense of some kind of emptiness and curiosity.



If i go down the illustrative path at some point, I wanted to demonstrate the way alternate realities are the same yet also different so I drew the same thing multiple different ways. Thinking about it now I think I can implement this into the shape/text designs too.




(2/8/23) After looking through some books displaying different ways to use type, I decided to play around with the placement and display of how I might want it to look on each page. Rather than having a more illustrative look on the pages I could strictly just use type to create the imagery. Right now the book is at 8x5. I was mostly just playing around with helvetica and layout so I'm still pretty uncertain about everything.
