oh hell yeah the ceramic bugs printed

the second ceramic print was (sort of) a success!!

the maggots printed fantastically, the other stuff had varying degrees of success in the process of washing and drying. the toughest casualties were suffered by the worms, only one of which whom survived. I was told that the survivors of my sanding by dremel would be fired today (wednesday) so hopefully i’ll know what their fate is by tomorrow afternoon when i’m back over in the fab lab. 

meanwhile, the clear pla bugs have also successfully printed, but i don’t have any finished photos just yet.

For the layout of my heart collages, I decided to fill the background with the early heart collages I made during the semester. I have also considered reducing the opacity of these collages to make the heart shape stand out more.

Family Heart Collages + Sketch of Layout for Thesis Show

While going through my heart collages for the thesis show, I noticed that I worked on more comic-con collages than family collages. Therefore I made some new family heart collages below. I also worked on my sketch of the layout for the thesis show.

Diggin myself out and catching up.

 I fell behind in, well life and I have caught up-ish.

I have been working on layouts for the sample books to send to the printer. I need to just bite the bullet and send it (them). Its the plan for Friday.

I've researched, purchased, and built a small at-home/travel film development kit for C41 (color processing) as well as DF96 (traditional black and white processing). It all fits in a trunk-friendly plastic tote. I'll be developing test rolls later this week without the use of the film lab.

Oh, I've also been networking (I hate saying that) for planned trips and events for the 72 hours book as well as a planned family vacation to mouse world.
