More handwriting and photo combinations

Experimentation

 

Lots of moving parts.

 Worked on some ideas for book interiors as well as the finalization of artwork and style for the first trip official trip of the "travel book" idea. Colorways to follow, b&w lines for now.

Practiced camera setting and off-camera lighting to streamline the photo portion of the trips. Practice images (food) are not properly edited, working on through the lens vs post approach to shooting. Some tweaks are needed to the flash power settings and placement(s).

It dawned on me that I need to have actual text to accompany the images and illustrations that are planned for the book. I'll try a few pretend adventures to write about and see if the writing studio can offer me some tips and advice.

Interior layouts process for the next post, and I hope to have an ETA on the "Ingredients" book print.

More Heart Pieces

For the rest of my comic-con heart collages, I have continued experimenting with using new elements as the heart pieces while using the backgrounds I used for these comic-con collages before. By now, I feel like I am getting the hang of working with the heart pieces in a new way.

I mostly just focused on linking the haikus together with the last line of the previous haiku due to the lack of time I had to make more progress during the week. I made a few small edits and revision to the previous pieces.
