Almost done!
Needs time to dry, but after that I'm going to touch up the clothing and neck and add some funky details and then call it a day! Pretty happy with how this one's going, very glad I decided to go with the oval shape. The baby looks weird but he will be tamed.
Over the weekend I'm going to work on a solid sketch for my Arnolfini portrait idea, and I'd also like to do one more small Madonna and Child gouache painting in the near future because I've been having fun with those.

Things I worked on this weekend
I cant for the life of me get that photo to crop so we’re just going to live with it
Started the text piece, it needs awhile to dry because I wanted to use a lot of thick layers of paint
And I did a bunch of research and an initial sketch for my next piece.
Stop motion Bag Packing with labels
Working on a bag packing stop motion with hand lettering callouts for objects in stop motion, speech bubble style.
Had to rethink shooting surface, might try white seamless as almost ever object is a dark material or try strobes to make objects “pop” more from background wood floor surface.
